Spiritual Elements

I am often inspired by the different elements when I create my 108 malas and gemstone bracelets. Here is a short description of the elements and their spiritual meaning.

EARTH. The spiritual meaning of the earth is stability, existence, endurance, grounding and the mother of everything solid. Earth is a symbol of life. It stands for consistency, conscientiousness, perseverance, responsibility, reliability, sobriety, ambition and respectfulness.

FOREST. The spiritual meaning of the forest represents being open to change, tranquility, renewal, strength, courage and ancient wisdom. Trees are the symbol of physical and spiritual nourishment, transformation and liberation, sustenance, spiritual growth, union and fertility.

OCEAN. The spiritual meaning of the ocean is power, strength, stability, life, mystery, hope and truth. It represents a bridge between the conscious and unconscious mind. It also stands for understanding, mildness, trusting nature, devotion, mercy, forgiveness, modesty and compassion.

AIR. The spiritual meaning of air or wind is mind, wisdom, spirit and soul. From the first breath of a newborn baby to the sound of the Universe (Om). It stands for vigilance, freedom, kindness, trusting, nature, clarity, lightness, independence, optimism and joy.

FIRE. The spiritual meaning of fire is passion, power, compulsion, creativity, motivation, light and warmth. The element of fire has a great power of forging will and determination. It also stands for vigorousness, enthusiasm and courage.

ICE. The spiritual meaning of ice can be being frozen in your actions, thoughts or feelings, and it appears as a warning in your dream to tell you to thaw, soften and unwind. Melting ice symbolize a new beginning or the end of hardships.

UNIVERSE. The Universe is stands for your higher power, eternity, knowledge, intuition, consciousness, of what is sacred and connection with the limitless, The mantra Om (Aum) is the primordial sound by which the universe was created.

MOON. The spiritual meaning of the moon is immortality, eternity, inner knowledge, enlightenment or the dark side of nature herself. It is a feminine symbol, universally representing the rhythm of time as it embodies the cycle. New Moon symbolizes new beginnings, you should set your intentions for what you wish to grow. New Moon is the ideal time to set clear intentions and goals, start new projects and give rise to new ideas and ventures. Crescent Moon comes right after New Moon, and it starts to get bigger and build strength and intensity. This is a great time to enact on the new intentions that you set on the New Moon. This is the perfect time to start something new. The energy of expansion supports new ideas and inviting new things into your life. Half Moon symbolizes a period of strength, determination, concentration, decision-making or re-evaluation, and commitment to action. Full Moon is the perfect time to let go of anything that no longer serves you, anything you want to let go of, release or end. This can be anything from unhealthy relationships, jobs, thoughts, situations, emotions and De-cluttering your life. It is a powerful time for guidance, healing, magic and positive intentions. The evening before the full moon is perfect for recharging your energy. You can sit outside and bathe in the light of the moon. Also, place your crystals, oracle cards, meaningful jewelry and so on out in the moon or on a windowsill at this time to cleanse and charge up with the moon’s powerful cleansing energy. Try to do a Full Moon Releasing Ceremony, by yourself or in a group. Light candles, write down a list of things you are ready to release / and when you are ready burn the list!

ECLIPSE. Both moon and sun eclipses are of great significance. It is especially beneficial to do spiritual practices like chanting, doing yoga, meditating, doing mantra repetitions, ceremonies, rituals and offerings. During an eclipse there is an heightened energy. Be mindful with your thoughts, words and actions.
