Symbol Meaning

In my malas amulets and bracelets charms you will see different symbols. Here is a short description of their meaning.

Buddha

The Buddha is considered as ornaments for purification, enhancing spirituality, good health and enables the wearer to rise above hallucinations brought about by materialism. The Buddha symbol represents your Dharma, finding your path. 


Happy BuddhaThe Laughing Buddha, also known as Happy Buddha, Fat Buddha or The Buddha of Wealth, is a symbol to attract wealth and good luck. The symbol is considered to bring good energy, wealth and joyful blessings. It’s good luck to rub his belly.


Evil EyeThe Evil Eye  is a curse that in many cultures is believed to cause misfortune, bad luck or injury. The talismans was created to protect its wearer again all evil. It was first seen in Mesopotamia, 5000 years ago.


FeatherThe Feather is a symbol of spiritual evolution, connection to a higher plane and communication with spirit. It also represent the power of the thunder gods, along with the power of air and wind.


GaneshGanesh is the elephant god and the remover of obstacles. He is the supreme consciousness that pervades all and brings order in the Universe. Ganesh is the son of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati.


guru-bead-malaThe Guru Bead is bead number 109 in the mala, and it signals the end of one round in your japa cycle (meditation). The Guru Bead is very important because it will hold all your prayers, and when you wear the mala you’ll have your prayers, intentions, hopes and dreams close yo your heart. It also symbolized the connection between teacher and student.


Hamsa HandThe Hamsa Hand is an ancient Middle Eastern amulet symbolizing the Hand of God. In all faiths it is a protective sign and offers magical protection from the envious evil eye. It brings its owner happiness, luck, health, and good fortune.


HeartThe Heart stands for love, affection, emotions and desire. It is the locus of physical and spiritual being, and represents the “central wisdom of feeling as opposed to the head-wisdom of reason”. It is compassion and understanding, life-giving and complex.


The Knots between each bead in a mala represents the Universal Force that sustains and supports us. The knot represents the Divine link between all beings.


lotusThe Lotus Flower represents one symbol of fortune in Buddhism. It grows in muddy water, and it is this environment that gives forth the flower’s first and most literal meaning: rising and blooming above the murk to achieve enlightenment.


omOm (Aum) is a sacred sound of the Universe and it is considered the greatest of all mantras. It represents the three worlds – earth, atmosphere and embodies the essence of the entire universe.


peaceA Peace Sign can be worn as a symbol of peace in the world or inner peace and end of suffering. It was originally designed in 1958 as a protest against nuclear power. Other symbols for peace are a dove, an olive branch or the V-sign hand gesture.


The Recovery Symbol a triangle in a circle is an addiction recovery symbol, the three point of the triangle symbolizes Hope, Strength and Willpower. I am in love with the look of this symbol, and I also firmly believe that we can all wear this since we are all recovering from something.


skullThe Skull has always been symbolic of the inevitable death. But it is also a symbol of rebirth and that we have to embrace our life and fill it with love and compassion. The skull also symbolizes new beginnings and rebirth.


tasselThe Tassel represents enlightenment and the energy created from your meditation. It is a symbol of the thousand petals of Sahasrara (The Crown Chakra) and signifies spiritual illumination. As the strands combine together in to one, it represents our connection to the Divine and to each other. It also symbolizes our prana and consciousness.


UnicornThe Unicorn is a mythological symbol and it stands for everything that is magical in life. It symbolizes opening up to everything that is possible and available to you at all times. It gives you the eyes too see all your possibilities and the wisdom to take advance of them.
